Basil belongs to the top 4% of most innovative companies.
During the online event of the KVK Innovation Award 2020, it was announced that Basil BV from Ulft, with its bicycle accessory system MIK, has reached the 16th place. With more than 400 entries for the KVK Innovation Top 100, the enthusiasm was great. After a selection by an expert jury, the top 100 was known at the end of 2020 but the place on the ranking was not yet known. During the festive digital meeting, where the Willem-Alexander, his majesty the King of the Netherlands, was present and spoke to the companies, the exact rankings were announced. An exciting countdown revealed the 16th position for Basil. A fantastic achievement that places Basil among the top of the most innovative companies in the Netherlands in 2020!
Basil secured the honorable 16th place with its MIK system. "With MIK, we introduced a revolutionary carrier system three years ago. Thanks to the open-platform system, panniers, baskets, crates and child seats can be exchanged easily and quickly - without additional assembly and stress. This gives a lot of advantages for all stakeholders," says Marthijn van Balveren, owner of Basil and founder of MIK. "Out of 400 applications we ended up in 16th place. That makes us one of the 4% of the most innovative companies in the Netherlands in 2020 and the highest ranking for a bicycle product. We are very proud."
