Now with 12 speeds: the ideal solution for any route.
Campagnolo never ceases to evolve and the range of drivetrains has taken on a new sophisticated element: The new 12-speed Record™ mechanical groupset is the iconic brand that has personified the world's greatest successes in cycling, in both professional and amateur races. The victories race bikes have achieved over the years with this groupset demonstrates the highest level of quality present in the processing, technology and premium materials that have always made it stand above the rest as a unique trademark product.
With the 12-speed Record™ groupset and Campagnolo® quality, satisfaction and victory are close at hand.
With the twelfth sprocket, a new era begins. Enthusiasts will be able to gain unprecedented levels of versatility on their bikes along with the quality and reliability that Campagnolo is known for. The new Record™ 12x2 groupset project was started from a clean slate and all of the components were redesigned. Performance was improved but the dimensions remained the same so that it is compatible with the frames and wheels currently on the market. The 12v chain is thinner than the previous version yet its lifespan is greater or at least the same as the 11v model. The crankset was completely redesigned with the objective of being effective even with the most severe angles of chain crossing. Likewise, the single version of the rear derailleur has a jockey cage that can support sprockets with up to 32 teeth and the front derailleur has been lightened to reduce the size, whilst maintaining its effectiveness on different frames and types of bicycles.
All of this combines with Campagnolo's experience in Dual Pivot and Direct Mount brakes to offer powerful, modulable braking in any situation, including races, without compromising on practical brake assembly or cable tension adjustment.

Description
The new mechanical Ergopower Record™ 12x2 Speed Rim Brake controls: aesthetically pleasing and functional.
The new carbon unidirectional levers lend the Record Rim Brake controls an air of power, stiffness and reliability. These new controls allow riders to select two different lever-handlebar positions spaced to adapt to the size of the hand, whilst keeping braking efficiency constant. This is accomplished through the new angle of the up-shifting lever that prevents any possible contact with the curve of the handlebar. The position of the lever is adjusted by acting directly on the controls in a simple and safe manner.
The Vari-Cushion technology offers an ergonomic, comfortable and safe support and grip. The “one lever-one action” feature assigns each lever one function to prevent shifting errors. The Ultra-Shift mechanism enables upshifting up to three sprockets at a time and downshifting a full five. The new Record™ 12x2 Speed Rim Brake levers introduce a double curvature to improve grip and thus safety.
New mechanical Record™ 12 Speed rear derailleur: precision, lightness and versatility.
Designed to improve performance and function in every aspect, the new Record™ 12 Speed mechanical rear derailleur has an innovative shape that envelopes the sprockets better thanks to 3D Embrace technology, creating a double effect: allowing the chain to maintain optimum traction at all times, thus increasing the speed, power and precision of shifting; and ensuring that the derailleur is always kept an optimal distance away from the sprockets.
The cage has also been optimized to work with sprockets from 11 to 34 teeth, allowing a single version to be maintained for all available sprocket sets. The upper part of the new Record™ 12 Speed mechanical rear derailleur gearbox is made of carbon fibre-reinforced technopolymer, contributing to its robustness and lightness, while the stop adjustment screws at the back of the rear derailleur make adjustments very simple.
The new mechanical Record 12x2 Speed derailleur: speed, dexterity, precision and effectiveness.
The Campy Tech Lab designers focused on functionality, performance and compatibility when redesigning the new front derailleur. The new Record™ mechanical 12x2 Speed derailleur reveals various technical innovations; starting with the leverage system, which is designed to speed up shifting. Less effort is required for shifting thanks to the split front link rod, which avoids contact with the travel limit screw, and the shape of the inner cage plate, designed to match the new 12 speed chain’s characteristics.
The micro-adjustments to the front derailleur position (which can be activated by the controls) make it possible to avoid any chain contact, even in cases of maximum crossing. The plate positioned on the aluminium outer cage prevents the chain from escaping when upshifting and increases speed in the downshift phase, as well as creating a quieter transmission.
As far as compatibility is concerned, the new Record™ 12x2 Speed front derailleur allows tyres up to 32mm thanks to the new upper connecting rod and the double fixing of the cablex.
The new Record™ 12x2 Speed crankset: a new hole-free design for the right hand crank that optimises aerodynamics.
The new carbon fibre Record™ 12x2 Speed crankset with unidirectional finishing guarantees continuity with the finishings of the entire groupset, whilst maintaining the Ultra-Torque bracket system on the steel axle to ensure perfect transmission of power. The new Record™ 12x2 Speed crankset can be installed on any type of frame, whether or not it is being used with disc brakes because it optimises the chain line on the frame with a rear hub flange measuring 130, 135 or 142 millimetres, without affecting the Q factor that remains constant at 145.5 millimetres.
The innovative design of the outer chainring ensures faster, quieter derailing owing to the contoured pin. The symmetrical design of the inner chainring teeth allows improved stability with chain crossovers.
The double wheel sizing standards (112 and 145 millimetres) enable reducing the weight through greater use of carbon fibre. There are eight fixing screws for increased structure stiffness. The varying number of pins for each of the three chainring combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) facilitates upshifting due to the optimised free strokes associated with each combination. The special drains on the inside of the outer chainrings optimise performance when downshifting in dead spots.
New Super Record™ 12 Speed sprocket cassettes: innovation which gives the user great advantages, thanks to the matching dimensions and complete compatibility with wheels and frames.
The rider has always been Campagnolo’s focus, and the goal has always been facilitating their performance; making the impossible possible. Adding an additional sprocket might seem simple, however we have not only succeeded in maintaining the same footprint, but also improving the component’s performance and durability, which was a tricky challenge!
The new Super Record™ 12 Speed sprocket sets feature thinner sprockets, tighter spaces and space-saving dimensions that are the same as those of the 11 Speed sprockets, meeting everyone’s needs with three 11/29, 11/32, 11/34 cassettes (the 11/34 cassette is compatible with the mechanical Super Record ™ and Record ™ groupsets.) The addition of the twelfth sprocket allows a linear upshift or downshift by a single tooth, up to the seventh gear, allowing the cyclist to find the perfect ratio for any situation.
In addition, the closer sprockets ensure faster, quieter and more precise shifting thanks to the special tooth design and surface treatment which guarantees a longer life span. The 6 larger sprockets are also available in two single-piece steel triplets, to avoid energy loss. Mounting the cassettes is easy thanks to matching-thickness spacers.
New Super Record™ 12 Speed chain: slim, robust, smooth and precise.
The chain, in all its apparent simplicity, plays a critical role in the cyclist's safety and in optimizing the entire transmission mechanism. The new Super Record™ 12 Speed chain also had to be redesigned from scratch to work with all the other new transmission components. Therefore, the first and most important objective was reducing its overall dimensions. Its width is now 5.15 millimetres, thanks to the new pins which are perfectly aligned with the links’ outer surfaces.
The second objective was safeguarding its performance. This was achieved thanks to the Ultra-link system that makes the chain safe and durable, and a special treatment that guarantees extreme smoothness and precision shifting.
The World Tour teams trust the braking response of the Super Record brakes and dozens of Pro Continental and Continental teams turn to Record brakes to take on the World Tour champions.
To meet this requirement, Campagnolo designed the Record™ brakes with the same braking performance of the Super Record, so that the braking response is consistently decisive and immediate. The braking power is entrusted to the stiffness of the new structure, which is sealed and offers a strong aerodynamic impact, along with the Campagnolo brake block compound developed by the Campy Tech Lab in Vicenza. If necessary, it is easy for either the mechanic or the race athlete to act on the cable tightener register.
Campagnolo strives to always offer the best solutions, no matter what frame or tyre the cyclist has chosen.
As manufacturers begin to develop frames and fork designs that take advantage of the aerodynamic gains of direct mount brakes, the Campy Tech Lab™ has worked to make new Campagnolo Direct Mount brakes that can guarantee the Campagnolo quality and performance standards. Through the self-balancing design, this new braking system by Campagnolo provides a completely symmetric and efficient brake application.
In addition, the extremely stiff structure of the new Campagnolo Direct Mount brakes ensures superior stopping power, whilst the design elements take inspiration from the aerodynamics of the brake and are enhanced by the new sealed structure of the brake levers themselves.
In addition to pure performance, a great deal of attention was given to ease of use and adjustment. The goal was to guarantee that the Campagnolo brake would be both easier to fit and intuitive and simple to adjust compared to any model available. That was made possible through the stiff structure positioned in the rear part of the brake, enabling rapid fitting that does not require external brake boosters, even on the weakest chainstays.
The Ultra-Torque system aluminium cups ensure maximum fluidity of movement and robustness for the bottom bracket axis. Available in eight different standards, to fit all frames on the market
