Astana Women’s Team athlete conquered the national title in the Women’s Elite category in Villavicencio (Colombia). Miguel Angel Lopez took silver in the men’s time trial. Dupont runner-up at Trofeo Palma
Northwave achieved the first national title of the 2019 road season, thanks to Liliana Moreno (Astana Women’s Team). On Saturday February 2nd in Villavicencio (Colombia), the 26-year-old Colombian climber with Northwave shoes claimed the road national title after a tough race. Behind the winner, Jessica Parra and Estefania Herrera completed the podium.
The Italian company clinched another medal in the Elite Men’s time trial. Miguel Angel Lopez of Astana Pro Team - entirely equipped with Northwave Extreme Pro shoes – was runner-up, 35 seconds behind the winner Daniel Martinez. Third place for Egan Bernal at 1’29”.
Belgian Timothy Dupont (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) grazed win in Challenge Mallorca’s last round, Trofeo Palma (Spain), on Sunday February 3rd. Northwave’s rider was outsprinted by German Marcel Kittel, whilst Frenchman Hugo Hofstetter finished third.
