“I ride in the Alps, where I live, and I like to challenge myself to do passes like L’Alpe d’Huez or others that I already planned to do. Cycling is a way to explore landscapes without limits”
I am 38 years old and I work in France as a marketing manager. As a cyclist, I am still a newbie. I started cycling a bit more than one year ago. Before that I practiced running and trail running. As I always wanted to ride a bike and my boyfriend is a cyclist, it was the perfect activity to share good times together. After only a few months on the bike, he took me on a bike trip. We did 1000 km in 10 days. Since then, there is not a day where I don’t think about cycling. Roadbike, adventure bike, Zwifting…are my main disciplines. I ride in the Alps, where I live, and I like to challenge myself to do passes like L’Alpe d’Huez or others that I already planned to do. Cycling is a way to explore landscapes without limits, except yours. I try to push forward mine and improve at every ride. I can do short and fast rides but also very long rides. My connection with cycling is growing as I am also running a custom painting activity on cycling shoes and accessories.
What kind of bike discipline do you practice?
I mainly practice road bike but I also travel with bike (adventure bike). Last year I made 2 bike trips: one around Italy, Croatia and Slovenia, and another one crossing Tuscany.
I was doing them with my road bike that I was adapting. I have recently bought a gravel bike to do more of those trips and will also start gravel soon.
During the lockdown in France, I discovered ZWIFT and I am a great fan.
Which Selle San Marco saddles do you use and how do you feel?
I am using the Shortfit Racing Iridescent model and I found it great. No pain. For me every ride is a real pleasure. With this colour, I like it even more.
For bike trips on my gravel bike and for Zwift, where you need extra comfort because you spend more hours sitting on the saddle, I have the Shortfit Supercomfort. It is perfect and, as mentioned in the name, super comfortable. They are both great. I like them because they are aesthetically gorgeous and very comfy, I don’t feel any pressure, thanks to their central cut-out.
Why did you choose Selle San Marco?
As a “new” cyclist, I wanted
to ride my bikes and feel very comfortable. There are 3 contact points between the body and the bike. Good gloves, good shoes and a good bibshort are the minimum you should have on your body. But when it comes to choose components on the bike, it is very difficult. At the same time, I also wanted my bike to look nice and not sacrifice the aesthetics of the saddle. For these reasons I’ve chosen Selle San Marco. Moreover, watching old replays of Le Tour de France, I discovered that Selle San Marco was a mythical brand and was doing saddles for very famous riders since years.
